Paulina- around 29 mos.

My Paulinita is becoming quite a little charmer.  I think she has watched "Enchanted" one too many times because I swear she uses the same gestures as Giselle.  She loves to wear dresses thanks to her sister's influence and twirl around.  She also lays down with her eyes closed waiting for us to give us her true love's kiss, or she'll give you one if you pretend to be asleep. She thinks all the songs from "Sleeping Beauty" are hers because Grammy and Grandpa sent her a BD card with the song playing when she opened it.  She identifies every family member with a song.  Little Mermaid songs -Alex, Aladdin songs- Daddy, Beauty and the Beast- Mommy, etc.  Whenever a song comes on she'll scream, "That's _____song!"  She repeats "Please!' whenever the answer is no with such a smile.  She knows where every bit of candy is and notes whenever Grandpa is taking his medicine (tobacco chewing gum).  You can't hide anything from her.  She seems so distracted and gets lost easily as you have read, but she is as sharp as a whip when it comes to a lot of things.  She knows her colors now!  And pretty consistently.  Still not potty trained as far as I know.  I put underwear on her when we're at home, and she goes on the potty and does all the steps, but I have never witnessed her actually ever doing something.  For all I know she does.  It keeps her out of my hair for 10 minutes sitting, wiping, flushing (her favorite), and washing.  At least she knows the steps.  She doesn't seem to have many accidents, but maybe she only goes when I put the diaper on her.  She is very adamant on doing everything HERSELF.  I play as long as long as I can until she get so frustrated when she just can't do it.   Still pretty emotional and dramatic with sobbing breakdowns and jumping excitement.  It can change in one second.  A little worried about the Middle Child Syndrome that people are warning me about- the middle child never feels accepted.  I truly feel I give her the same amount of attention as the others, but who knows for sure (I hope my knowledge of her potty training skills is not an indication).  I know I could never love her any less.  She has the most cuddly body and loving unabashed nature.  She is just fascinating to watch and love.
