Dexter -Almost 15 mos.

It's been awhile since his last update.  Dexter is now walking all over the place.  He is a great walker and started a couple of weeks after his first birthday.  He was very gradual about it.  Taking two steps, then four, then six, until finally he got the hang of it.  I don't think he is going to be a dare devil.  He is pretty cautious but throws himself down the slide, so he may have a little wild streak.  His favorite word is "Bubbles".  This is the only word he say consistently when prompted, but he has said other words when it gets his fancy.  He used to say his name a lot, but not so much lately.  He also sings "ashes, ashes, we all fall down".  My kids play ring around the rosy with him a lot.  He is a pretty easy going kid but gets very whiny when he is tired, and it is hard to appease him.  He doesn't like to be by himself for long periods and always cries when we put him down to sleep.  He isn't a baby anymore and seems so mature especially when interacting with others.  He is very social.  He doesn't even destroy the blocks anymore when we are building castles.  It only took him one time out in his crib to learn this lesson (what self control).  I had to put Paulina in multiple time-outs when she was 18 mos. to learn this lesson.  Alex adores him, and Paulina is having fun bossing him around and tattling when he does something she used to do unwanted.   It is cute when they want to hold hands with him or he wants to hold hand with them and walk around.   Still very playful and smiley.
