Every time I come back from a vacation, I get a little bummed about having to return to the grindstone. Cooking, cleaning, shopping, 3 young kids following me everywhere -oh my! My husband looks forward to going back to work from sheer exhaustion of his family full time, but no work break for me. (I am happy about this- for the most part I love being with my kids but is does get trying 24/7). Now I receive an e-mail for a girls night beauty night. I am hardly one to be glamourous and felt a little intimidated by the whole event because what could I actually bring to this event. If I can't get myself looking in order, I felt sorry for whoever my hands may encounter. I am so happy I went, and once I got there I was going for it all. Jen and Kim are excellent hairstylists, and Nikki showed us how to give each other pedicures which was a lot of fun. Now I never had a pedicure before and found it quite relaxing and can see why people enjoy it so much. I loved my hair, and it even lasted for church the next day. I took a picture to prove it. I had my eyebrows waxed, hand pampering, and had hair treatment in my hair as well as styled. I felt like a new woman when I left. We even got a great partying gift for our hair. I wish our hair stylists got more on the beauty since they were so busy fixing our hair. Maybe with a few lessons I may even be able to do something more. Thanks to all who made this event possible. It was just what I needed.
